The Foundation Angel Program helps families in the Greater Brandon Community who have suffered a catastrophic event or a life-threatening disease.

Through the efforts of community members and volunteers, the Brandon Foundation Angel Program has been able to help over 400 families and individuals in Eastern Hillsborough County.  Angel teams personally assess the needs of those in crisis and respond through a “Call to Action” to lend assistance.  Below is a summary of the type of assistance generally requested:

  • In-Kind or Discounted trade services:  AC, Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Carpentry, etc.
  • In-Kind or Discounted social services: home health, child care, elder care, tutoring, pet sitting/boarding
  • Automotive needs: Fuel gifts cards, auto maintenance and repair, tires, etc.
  • Feel Good Gifts:  Tickets to shows, theme parks, events; gift cards to restaurants, spas, salons, etc.

The Foundation Angel Program also coordinates with our registered charities for additional assistance or to meet the needs of those who do not meet our criteria.

No gift is too big or small, and the gift of time is priceless.  To assist, please contact the office at 813-689-6889 or simply submit a form at right.

Thank you for being a Foundation Angel!

Our Foundation Angels are fulfilled as they give back to the community, utilizing resources or services available to them and are pleased to have a way of helping families in need.

Volunteers and Staff of the Brandon Foundation’s Angel Program gather for a holiday celebration, and plan for a very busy Angel Program for 2017.  Thank you to Jeanne La Fever, at Bahama Breeze, for supporting this special occasion.

Marcus’ story:

A year ago, the Brandon Foundation learned of Marcus, a young man born with Cerebral Palsy. His mother Sherry, a full-time caregiver to her son, expressed the desire of having a place in their backyard where Marcus could enjoy the fresh air, the ducks and turtles, and view of the small pond, which, until a few short months ago, was mostly viewed through his bedroom window.

Because of the great community supporters and volunteers of the Foundation Angel program, Sherry’s wish for that special place came together, and today, Marcus can spend quality time outside on the deck in his backyard.

The Brandon Foundation thanks all who made this happen, Dave Johnson and Angel Team members at Romero Insurance Agency, volunteers from the Masonic Lodge in Tampa through the assist of Dwayne Lewis, EmbroidMe, and Foundation Board member Tom Feeney and the volunteers from Moretrench.

A Reliable Car for Amy:

So excited to give one of Brandon Foundation Angels families a car to help her get back on her feet. She is fighting a battle with cancer so this is even more of a blessing to be able to help this beautiful family. Thank you Dolly Brown for your generosity and Beth Harris McGucken, Dan Norris and Dan White, with Brandon Hyundai for helping with new tires, oil change and much more more! Also thanks to our Angel team leader Dustie Amatangelo, Janet Daigle and Jodi Chadwell. Awesome job!
