Junior Angels and NFL’s Michael Clayton partner in Angel Family Thanksgiving event
Former Buc’s player Michael Clayton joined the Foundation Junior Angels to present Thanksgiving dinners to Angel Families, on Tuesday, November 22, at the Brandon Foundation.
Students representing Newsome High School gathered turkeys and dinner ingredients which they packaged for Tuesday’s event, along with whole pumpkin pies, prepared by The Bridges Assisted Living Facility, in Riverview. Michael Clayton graciously met with each Angel Family, and prayed with family members for special Thanksgiving blessings. He also signed autographs for those in attendance.
The Brandon Foundation is grateful to Jill Lansky, Angel Team co-chair who organized the event, and to all who attended, including Michael Clayton, HCSO’s Deputy Josh Boyer, Dave Williams, and Foundation Board members.
The Foundation Junior Angels met with Deputy Josh Boyer, Head of the Homeless Initiative for HCSO, in October 2016 beginning the “Blessing Bags” project for the homeless in our community. Jill Lansky, Junior Angel Chair, reviews the upcoming projects students can participate in an earn community service hours.
